SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), AE As, "Victoria Britannica" issue of late A.D.211, Rome mint, (12.56 g), obv. SEVERVS [PIV]S AVG around laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, rev. [VICT BRIT P M TR P XIX] COS III PP around, Victory standing right holding vexillum and with captives seated at her feet, (S.6477, RIC 812b, C.724). Deep chocolate patina, some surface flaking, otherwise fine and rare.
