EGYPT, Late Period, (712-332 B.C.), bronze amulet of the four uraeus, moulded as four upright cobras bearing sun discs on their heads, width 50mm, on custom wooden stand. Very fine and unusual.

Ex Matthew Rich Collection. Purchased in London October, 1988.
The Uraeus was a symbol of sovereignty, royalty, deity and divine authority in ancient Egypt.
