EGYPT, 26th Dynasty, (c.600 B.C.), pale green faience amulet of Ptah-Sokar, depicted naked, height 32mm. Extremely fine.

Ex Matthew Rich Collection. Puchased Antiquarius Nov. 1998. Ptah was the god of Memphis and Sokar of Saqqara was the primitive god of of the dead and a lover of silence.
