ROMAN, 2nd century A.D., bronze or iron finger ring, of broad oval form, the bezel containing a carnelian intaglio carved with the image of Victory placing a shield on a trophy, (25mm diameter). Ring with slight corrosion, the intaglio extremely fine and intact.
From an old Sydney collection, purchased March 2007, US$500.
