GROUP OF FIVE: Australian Active Service Medal 1945-1975, - two clasps - Malaysia, Vietnam; General Service Medal 1962-2007, - clasp - Borneo; Vietnam Medal 1964-73; Australian Service Medal 1945-1975, - clasp - PNG; National Medal. 42983 D.A.Nicholson on all medals. The first and fourth medals pantograph engraved, the second and third medals impressed, and the last medal engraved. Display mounted, contact marks on a few medals, otherwise good very fine - extremely fine.

Entitled to Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation. See enclosed copy of announcement made on 1 September 2008 by the Minister for Defence Personnel announcing award to those ADF members who served with Australian Army 547 Signal Troop during the eligible dates 13 June 1966 to 23 December 1971.

Dennis Alexander Nicholson, born 30Jan1943 at Adelaide, Sth Aust; Signalman with RA Corps of Signals, served in Vietnam with 547 Signal Troop 23Jan-11Mar1968; medically evacuated to Australia 12Mar1968.
