HMAS Tingira, formerly the steam-sail ship Sobraon, was used as a training ship for boys entering the RAN from 1911 till 1927 and was moored in Sydney Harbour at Rose Bay. This pass entitled the holder to free travel from HMAS Tingira to the city and return. The pass was issued to boys from an indicator board as they left the ship on leave and returned to the board when they returned to the ship.
