DOMINICA, issue of 1813, four bitts, a circular segment (ring) from the pierced dollar (15 crenations) of 1798 countermarked on the left side with back tilted 4 crowned, bevelled edge grained left (4.80g) (Pr.28; KM.5). Edge cut, otherwise good very fine and rare for countermark, original coin smooth.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, ex R.Gordon Collection (Baldwins Sale 8, lot 87) and Howard D. Gibbs Collection (Schulman 1960).
