TORTOLA, issue of 1805-23, type II, a cut half segment of a Charles IV eight reales, (179)0 FM, Mexico City Mint, obverse countermarked TIRTILA in relief within shaped indent (12.03g) (Pr.8; KM.19). Toned nearly fine, countermark very fine.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from the Tankersley Collection, Baldwins Sale 18, Oct 1998, lot 17, with a ticket by PDM of Baldwin 1982.
