BRAZIL, Pedro II, one thousand reis, 1853, 1863 (KM.465), ex wreck of RMS Douro. Poor. (2)

In dealer's packets stating that these Portuguese (sic, Brazil declared independence from Portugal in 1822) silver 1000 reis were discovered amongst the hoard of gold coins found on the RMS Douro which was wrecked in the Bay of Biscay in 1882.
