WORLD WAR II, Commonwealth of Australia, War Savings Certificate, Seven Year series, large size, one pound, B 743985, issued 3 Jan 1940, payable 2 Jan 1947, B 743888, issued 28 Feb 1941, payable 28 Feb 1948, C 722851, issued 9 June 1941, payable 9 June 1948, E 141641, issued 10 July 1941, payable 10 July 1948, F 957800, issued 18 Feb 1942, payable 18 Feb 1949, the first to fourth issued at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Innisfail, QLD, the last at the Commercial Banking Corporation Limited, Innisfail, with label 'By holding this certificate until maturity you are giving valuable help to the nations's war effort' in red, affixed to front of each certificate (MVR WD1a). With folds and light foxing, four with name handwritten on back, good very fine. (5)
