SICILY, Akragas, (472-420 B.C.), silver litra, (0.61 g), obv. eagle with closed wings to left, AK RA, rev crab, (S.746, BMC 50); others AE 21, trias, (425-406 B.C.), (6.71, 6.96 g), obv. eagle to right holding hare in talons, [AKPA] behind eagle, rev. crab, three dots below, with a crayfish below dots, (S.1023, Calciati I p.181 No.54/3, SNG ANS 1041, cf.SNG Morcom 523); another, Akragas issue under Punic occupation, (c.405-392 B.C.), countermarked on a hemilitron (27 mm, 15.27 g), uncertain undertype, countermark head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress, within circular incuse, (S.1026, Westermark, p. 166, CNS 92 CM, BMC 117). Mostly fine and porous, last scarce. (4)
