SICILY, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 21, (8.97 g), obv. head of young male (Herakles) to right, rev. lion prowling to right, club above, javelin in exergue, dotted border, (S.1201, BMC 391, Calciati 150 [p.287], SNG ANS 732). Brown green patina, very fine and scarce.
