MACEDON, Chalkidian League, (c.427-421 B.C.), silver tetrobol, 13mm, (2.50 g), Olynthos, issued 383/2 B.C., obv. laureate head of Apollo to left, dotted border, rev. X A**L KI D EWN* around, kithara with seven strings, all within very shallow incuse square, (S.1422, cf.Robinson & Clement Group C, 34 [cf.A29/P20, same reverse die], SNG ANS 518 [similar dies]). With an attractive head of Apollo of excellent Classical style, good very fine, scarce.
