BOIOTIA, Boiotian League, Federal Coinage, probably struck at Thebes, (395-340 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.65 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. amphora with letter B OI on either side, above a club, all within an incuse square, (cf.S.2396, BCD Boiotia 32, Head 'Boeotia' p.54, HGC 4 1165 SNG Cop. 170-1). Toned, very fine and scarce.
