LYDIA, Kings of, Alyattes, (c.610-550 B.C.), electrum hemihekte or twelfth stater, (1.16 g), Sardes mint, obv. head of roaring lion right, "sun" with no rays on forehead, rev. incuse square punch, (S.3402, Weidauer Group XVI, 90, SNG Ashmolean 757). Very fine and rare.
