HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 128, (3.07 g), obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, around HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, rev. around COS III, crescent and seven stars, (S.3484, RIC II.3: 852-853, RSC 465). Large flan, toned, irregular edge, good very fine and scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics with ticket, previously from Glendinings, December 14, 1988 (lot 373).
