MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 168, (3.46 g), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX, rev. around FORT RED TR P XXII IMP V, COS III in exergue, Fortuna seated to left holding rudder and cornucopia, (cf.S.4900, RIC 185, C.208); Faustina Senior, wife of Antoninus Pius, posthumous issue (died A.D.141), (2.83 g), issued after 147, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAVSTINA, rev. Vesta standing left holding palladium and sceptre, around AVGV STA, (cf.S.4587, cf.BMC p.62, RIC 369, RSC 109). Toning, nearly very fine. (2)
