QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL 1899, (type 3 reverse), - two clasps - Defence of Kimberley, Orange Free State, with unofficial MID emblem and unofficial red diagonal velvet stripe (WIA) on ribbon. 54 Tpr: A.H.Armstrong. Kimberley Lt Horse. Impressed. Nicely toned, extremely fine.

MID: Along with two others, Tpr A.H.Armstrong is in Colonel Kekewich's Report which states, 'All deserving of mention for good work'.

54 Trooper Arthur Homer Armstrong medal and clasp entitlement confirmed on medal roll of Kimberley Light Horse.

Trooper Armstrong was wounded during the Siege of Kimberley. He discharged Medically Unfit on 24Mar1900.
