PAIR: Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 3 reverse), - three clasps - Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902; Natal Medal 1906, - clasp 1906. 192 Tpr. G.Churchill. National. Scts. on first medal, Cond: G.Churchill, Militia Trans. Service. on second medal. Both medals impressed, the first in a later style. Both ribbons with glue remnant on back at top, medals good very fine.

192 Trooper Churchill confirmed on roll of National Scouts in Boer War.

Churchill served as No.802 in No.2 Wing of the National Scouts and also as No.192 in B Troop of the Farmer's Guard. Two QSAs were issued to him, one from each roll, but both were returned to Woolwich. In 1944 he applied for his QSA and this was issued using his Farmer's Guard number and National Scouts unit name.
