COMMONWEALTH, (1649 - 1660), silver shilling, 1653 (S.3214). Almost round, well struck, especially on the obverse, even attractive grey and gold tone, good very fine and rare in this condition.

Ex Robert Tonner Collection, from Noble Numismatics Sale 104, November, 2013, (lot 2923), and R.A.Climpson Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 85B (lot 1588). Purchased from the Auckland Coin and Bullion Exchange Ltd, per Jim Johnson.
