PLAUTILLA, wife of Caracalla, (c.A.D. 202-205), silver denarius, issued 204, (2.98 g), obv. draped bust of Plautilla to right, around PLAVTILLA AVGVSTA, rev. Venus naked to waist standing half left with apple and palm, at side a shield, before her cupid, around VENVS VICTRIX, (S.7074, BMC 429, RIC 369, RSC 25) (illustrated); another, (3.51 g), rev. Caracalla and Plautilla holding hands, around CONCORDIAE AETERNAE, (S.7069, BMC 401-4, RIC 361, RSC 10); another, (3.04 g), rev. Concordia standing to left with patera and sceptre, around CONCORDIA AVGG, (S.7065, RIC 363, RSC 1). Toning, fine - nearly very fine and scarce. (3)
