VALERIAN I, (A.D. 253-260), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (20.50 g), obv. laureate bust of Valerian to right, around legend IMP C P LIC [VALERIA]NVS P F AVG, rev. Liberalitas standing to left, holding cornucopiae and tessera, LIBERALI[TAS] AVGG around, S C across field, (cf.S.10015, RIC 165, C.110). Attractive brown patina, struck on a square flan, good very fine and scarce.
