GALERIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 293-305), silver argenteus, Rome Mint, 7th officina, struck A.D. 295-7, (3.21 g), obv. laureate head to right, around MAXIMIA NVS CAES, rev. around PROVIDE NTIA AVGG, the tetrarchs sacrificing before a six-turreted enclosure, Z in exergue, (S.14243, RIC VI 35b[Z], RSC 183b). Attractive golden toning, very fine - good very fine and very rare.
