NEW ZEALAND, World War I, patriotic white cotton quilt with hand embroidered centrepiece 'Success/to/Our Boys/From/Puerua/Jun 1916', surrounded by ninety one panels embroidered in red cotton with names from Otago, including Phyllis Grant, Ettie Cooper, Milner Grant, Walter Wright. With a 23x15cm piece cut out from top, also other tears, single hole and stains.
