BRITISH TRANSVAAL WAR PEACE MEDAL, 1899-1900, struck uniface in silver (31mm) (C.1899-00/18b, this medal), by Stokes & Sons, with suspender, ribbon and pin-back brooch bar. Hairlines and a few small marks, otherwise toned uncirculated and very rare.
The uniface nature of this medal and the tan stripes of the ribbon indicate that it was possibly intended as a military sports, or cadet, prize.
Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
