ISLAMIC, Seljuks of Rum, Rukn al-Din Sulayman bin Qilich Arslam, as Sultan (AH 593-600, A.D. 1197-1204), AE fals (28mm, 7.86 g), dated AH 595 (A.D. 1198-9), obv. horseman advancing right holding mace and star to left, rev. legend citing rulers name and A H date, (A.1205.2, Broome 57B, iCV 1327, Izmirlier 101.1). Good very fine with spotting of green on obverse, off centred on reverse.
Ex CNG/NAC Auction Sale 40, December 4, 1996 (lot 2000 part). A similar example from similar dies in CNG Esale 406 27 September 2017 (lot 846) realised $475US.
