JAPAN, military document, February 1921, on finely woven silk cloth, possibly relating to the Heimei Maru Incident, in black in with red seals, (122cm long). Very fine and rare.

The Heimei Maru Incident related to the ship Heimei Maru that was interned by the Greek government as it entered the Dardanelles in 1921. The Japanese Government had hoped to improve their international standing by lobbying for the release of Turkish prisoners from Siberia after WWI.
