KING'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL 1902. 3800 Pte T.Grainger. A. and S. Highrs: Impressed. With length of ribbon and small riband, missing suspension, otherwise nicely toned and good very fine.

3800 Private T.Grainger, (Princess Louise's) Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders confirmed on medal roll.

Private Grainger was wounded at Paardeberg on 18 February 1900. The battalion's losses at Paardeberg were high with 13 NCOs and men killed and 7 officers and 78 men wounded.
