MM TRIO: Military Medal, (GVR type 1); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 70206 Whlr: Gnr: A.W.Rennie. 325/Sge:By:R.G.A. on first medal, 149200 Gnr. A.W.Rennie. R.A. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Ribbons with some damage, medals one time polished and now dark toned, fine.
MM: Supplement to LG 12/12/1917, p 13019 - to 70206 Wheeler Gnr. A.W.Rennie, R.G.A. (Dundee).
Together with the following items.
1) Royal Artillery hat badge; collar badges (2); RA metal titles (3).
2) Wheeler metal proficiency arm badge.
3) Fob-type badge in silver, obverse features unit colour patch in enamel (some missing), reverse with details, '325/Siege Battery/R.G.A./France/1917-18', hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 by maker, 'M&B' (Marples & Beasley).
4) Printed coloured Army Orders 10th October 1917 for Immediate Awards, and listing 70206 Wheeler Gunner A.Rennie Royal Garrison Artillery. (glued to a cover and with heavy age toning and foxing)
5) Printed Congratulations note to Wheeler Gunner A.Rennie on award of Military Medal from Gen. H.Rawlinson CO 4th Army. (with heavy age toning and foxing)
6) French tramway tickets from 1918 for Societe Des Tramways D'Amiens, Aller (Go) - Place Gambetta - Saint-Acheul and Retour (Return) - Saint- Acheul - Place Gambetta.
7) Souvenir banknotes for Germany, Stadt Duren, notgeld 10 pfennig 1919, also France Chambre De Commerce De Saint-Omer 50 centimes and a French five francs 1918.
8) Handmade greeting card by Wheeler Gr. Rennie, reverse with small floral spray and note, 'Gathered from Tocherford Hill, Rayne, Aberdeenshire 22/8/20.'
9) British half crown dated 1907 in a small envelope on which is written, 'Date on coin 1907. This is the Actual 2/6 your Dad got when enlisting in the Army December 1914. He gave it to me to keep which I have done, & now pass it on to you.'
10) Some b&w photos as well as Certificate on Demobilization and an extract of an entry in the Register of Marriages for the District of St Mary & St Peter in the Burgh of Dundee, 10 April 1920.
