TRIO: The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Commander (CBE) (Civil) neck badge (type 1), in silver gilt and enamel with neck ribbon; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. The first medal unnamed as issued, Hon-Captain. F.Cridland. A.C.F. on last two medals. The named medals impressed. The first medal with its original case insert, the other two medals display mounted, with spotting on the ribbons and the case insert and on the British War Medal, otherwise good very fine - extremely fine.

Frank Cridland's son also served with the AIF as No.5375 Driver A.W.Cridland AASC. Another of his sons was Captain Walter D.Cridland RAA who was killed in action in Borneo on 27 June1945 and another was Flight Lieutenant Alan Cridland who was killed at Darwin in November 1942.
On 18 October 1920 Mr Frank Cridland CBE was congratulated on the honour of the award of a CBE at a meeting at the rooms of the Master Carriers' Association of which he was president. Mr Cridland responding said the honour was not so much for him as for the association, the members of which had done such valuable work during the war. He is remembered amongst Shire residents as the author of 'The Story of Port Hacking, Cronulla and Sutherland Shire' (1924 & 1950).
Frank Cridland CBE died on 28 May 1954 at the age of 81. He founded the transport business of Frank Cridland Pty Ltd, was a foundation member of the Legacy Club of NSW, a life member of the Royal Australian Historical Society, a member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers and of the Imperial Service Club. His funeral service was conducted on 31 May at Woronora Cemetery.
