POWDER HORN, 19th century, horn with brass cover at wide end, this with Dixon & Sons hallmark and inscribed, 'Alexre Glavany', with steel spout with 'drams' measurer and external spring operated cut off, marked for maker 'Dixon & Sons/Patent', also with Dixon & Sons hallmark on edge of metal that joins to horn, with two suspension loops and with a short brown leather cord attached, the brass band at the top of the horn is inscribed '72' (approx size 7x32cm). With some scuffing to horn at bottom edge and a few screws missing from connecting cover, otherwise good very fine.
