SYRIA, Seleucid kingdom of Antiochus III, (222-187 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.61 g), Susa Mint, obv. head of Antiochus III to right, with diadem, rev. Apollo seated to left, on omphalos, holding arrow and resting on bow, to left **BASILEWS*, to right ANTIOXOY, monograms MT on left, trace of moniogram on right, (S.6934 var., SC 1213.1, HGC 9, 447tt[R2]). Some surface roughness, otherwise fine and a very rare variety.
