MAXIMIANS, (A.D. 286-305 first reign), AE follis, Heraclea mint, issued A.D. 297-8, (9.62 g), obv. laureate head of Maximianus to right, around IMP C M A MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, rev. around GENIO POPU L I ROMANI, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, in exergue HTB, (S.13265, RIC 19b B). Even brown toning, some surface pitting, good very fine and scarce.
