FOOT-BALL REFEREES TIMER WRISTWATCH, c1910s, Swiss made, plain nickel case with white dial, black and two red Arabic numbers from 0 to 45 minutes, black indicator hand, subsidiary second dial with black Arabic numerals and hand, manual wind, with lugs at two sides for attaching wrist band, pull winder to reset minutes hand, lever at side to start and stop seconds hand. In working order, very fine.
This watch is used to measure the exact time elapsed in one half of a football match. When play is halted the side lever is used to stop the watch and then to restart it from that point.
