GREECE, Rhodes, 20th century, pair of sterling silver ewers, by Nikolaos Vasilaras, Old City, Rhodes, of neoclassical form with ovoid bodies on circular feet, the spouts flaring to a wide mouth, curved handles, both chased with floral designs, (350mm high, total weight 2.1kg). Very fine with original receipts. (2)
The receipts incicate that these ewers are 925 silver and were purchased in 1977 at a cost of USD $1,900.
