ITALY, Venice, coinage for Candia (Crete), Giovanni Cornaro (Doge of Venice 1625-29), sixty tornesi or four soldi (29.5mm; 6.16g), obverse, rosette between two stars at top and rosette at bottom, reverse, winged lion of S. Marco standing left with Book of Gospel, in exergue the value (IIII) between two stars (CNI VIII, 166; Paolucci 892; Papadopoli 131). Good very fine.
