SAMOA, Capt Kane of H.M.S. Calliope (1889) in gilt or silvered bronze (30mm) from an admirer, Marquis de Leuville in recognition as the only ship to survive the hurricane of 1889 in the bay of Apia (cf Fearon 340.4). Good very fine.
