GERMANY, Flossenburg Concentration Camp, one mark, premium blue issued 1944, with additional hand overstamp of Waffen SS, Flossenburg was built near the Czech border in Bavaria, had 93 subcamps and was considered by SS to be a 'hard regime' camp, this second series of notes was issued in 1944 and the circular stamp placed on the note was the official stamp of the S.S. commander of Flossenburg, these premium notes were the only notes known to have circulated at this camp, (Campbell No. 3972b (2), Feller & Feller GE-188). Some marks, half cm tear at right, otherwise extremely fine and rare.
