ITALY, Bruttium, Petelia, (280-216 B.C.), AE 20 a quadrans, (5.16 g), obv. laureated head of Zeus to right, three pellets behind, dotted border, rev. naked Zeus facing striding to right, hurling thunderbolt and holding sceptre, around **[P]ETHLI NWN*, monogram behind, (S. 680, BMC 1, HN Italy 2461, Caltabiano Petelia Pl.IV, 7, SNG ANS 612, SNG Munich -). Attractive dark brown patina, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
