THRACE, Islands off, Thasos, (c.435-411 B.C.), silver obol, (0.57 g), obv. two dolphins swimming in opposite directions, one above the other, three pellets in field, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (S.1359, BMC 18, cf.HGC 6, 337). Very fine, scarce.

Ex William B. Porter Collection (with his descriptive ticket) from CNG Triton VII, January 13-14, 2004 (lot 1327 part).
