THRACE, Islands off, Thasos, (c.390-335 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.76 g), obv. wreathed head of Dionysos to left, rev. Herakles kneeling to right, drawing bow, salamander to right above knee, all within incuse square, (cf.S.1753, West 7, BMC Thrace p.220, 41, HGC 6, 343-345). Bright very fine, rare.
