MACEDON, Kings of, Kassander, (305-298 B.C.), AE 15 (2.14 g), Pella mint, obv. head of young Herakles in lion skin headdress right, rev. lion advancing left breaking spear, **BASILEWS / KASSANDROU* above and below, monogram in exergue, (S.-, cf.SNG Alpha Bank 937-9, cf.SNG Munich 1021-2, HGC 3, 996 [S]). Some earthen patination, otherwise extremely fine, scarce.
