IONIA, Ephesos, (202-c.150 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.71 g), obv. bee with straight wings dividing E - **F*, dotted border, rev. stag standing to right, palm tree behind, to right magistrate's name **TIMANQH*, (cf.S.4387, Kinns p.90, example in Vienna, SNG Cop -). Mild surface roughness, otherwise extremely fine and rare.

Ex Brian Bolton Collection and previously Nomos AG Obolos 3, lot 205 with tickets and ex Noble Numisamtics Sale 117 (lot 4547).
