CARIA, Satrap of, Hidrieus, (351-344 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.75 g), obv. head of Apollo three-quarter face to right wearing laurel wreath, drapery at neck, rev. Zeus Labraundos standing to right holding labrys and spear, to right **IDRIEWS*, E to right, (S.4958, SNG von Aulock 8046 (this coin), SNG Lockett 2909 (this coin), Weber 6604 (this coin)). Attractive old cabinet toning with blue highlights, a few scratches under toning, very fine and rare with a long and impressive provenance.
