COELE-SYRIA, Chalkis, Dynasts of, Ptolemy, son of Mannaeus, (c.85-40 B.C.), AE 22, (5.52 g), obv. laureate bearded head of Zeus to right, countermarked with the head of Lysanias (40-36 B.C.), rev. eagle flying right, **PTOLEMAIOU TET ARC*, (S.5896, BMC Galatia p.279 2, SNG Cop.-, CNG eSale 62 [lot 34] same countermark, Hermann 7, HGC 9, 1441). Very fine, rare with countermark.
