PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Gaza (`Azah), (c.mid - late 5th century B.C.), silver drachm (3.81 g), obv. male laureated head right, within beaded border, rev. ibex (stag) crouching right, looking back, bird flying above, H (Heth) below, as an Aramic letter, all within beaded incuse square, (S.-, BMC new aquisitions [Num Chron, 1936 49, Pl.XIII, 13], Gitler & Tal XX.14D, Traite Pl.CXXIV, 1 (holed, same dies], Brindley Collection 615 [Oct.13, 2003, Baldwins Auction], Mildenberg 1997 Pl.3, 45, HGC 10, -). Toned, about very fine or better and extremely rare.
