BAKTRIA, Kingdom of, Euthydemos I, (c.230/225-200 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.24 g), Attic standard Mint "A" Balkh mint series D workshop, obv. diademed bust of king Euthydemos to right, rev. naked Herakles seated to left on a pile of stones, holding club, to right **BASILEWS, to left **EUQUDHMO[U]*, monogram to lower right, (S.7515, Kritt A9, Bop. Series 5B nos 9-12, Mitchiner Group III, type 85c, BMC 2-3, SNG ANS 124 [Pl.7, obverse], HGC 12, cf.HGC 12, 41 [R2]). Light porosity very fine and very rare.
