JULIUS CAESAR, issue of C. Clovius Praetor, (45 B.C.), AE dupondius, Rome mint, (13.63 g), obv. winged and draped bust of Victory to right, around CAESAR DICTER before, rev. Minerva advancing left, holding trophy, spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion, snake at feet, C. CLOVI PRAEF around, (S.1417, Cr.476/1a, RPC 601, RSC Julius Caesar 7). Brown patina, off centred obverse, fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
