MARCUS AURELIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 158-9, obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around AVRELIVS CAES AVG PII F, rev. around TR POT XIII COS II, Virtus standing right, resting foot on helmet, holding spear and parazonium, (S.4796, BMC 893, RIC 480e, RSC 747a). Lightly toned, slight flan chip, otherwise extremely fine with an attractive portrait.

Ex Heritage Auctions 271726, lot 38095. In a slab by NGC, graded AU.
