MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 164-5, (3.04 g), obv. laureate bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. around TR P XIX IMP II COS III, ARMEN in exergue, Armenia with peaked cap seated to left, in attitude of sadness, holding bow and quiver, before her vexillum and shield, (cf.S.4881, RIC 122a, RSC 9a). Toned, nearly extremely fine or better, very scarce.

A similar example in Sale 118 (lot 1773) realised $320.
